Mike Friedman is the Owner/Head Instructor at Champion Karate and Knockout Fitness located in Lake Mary, Florida. He is a 7th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo with over 35+ years Martial Arts experience, as well as a Guro, in the system of Pambuan Arnis.
During Mike’s competitive career he was ranked #1 on the A.S.K.L circuit for heavy weight fighting and forms, as well as finishing 3rd in the world (N.A.S.K.A) for light heavyweights, and winning Florida state titles in Fighting and Forms in 2002 and 2003.
Mr. Friedman has been sought after to bring his Tactical Defense Solutions to Commercial Airlines, Law Enforcement, Safety Patrol Groups, and countless other Men, Women, and Children of all ages. In addition, he also travels throughout the country and internationally conducting seminars, as well as furthering his knowledge of the arts to pass along to his students.
Mike is Co-Owner of the ‘The Lake Mary Arts & Fitness Center’. The mission being to bring the best of Performing Arts, Martial Arts, and Kickboxing Fitness to Central Florida. Being involved in the community is very important to the mission of the center.
Mr. Friedman is very involved in multiple charities, along with Seminole County Schools, the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, Stomp The Bullying, and Ali’s Hope, an organization dedicated to Inspiring hope and improving the quality of life of adolescents, and young adults living with mental health concerns through support, education and advocacy. Nowadays he spends most of his time enjoying watching his students grow and flourish and taking pride in the instructors that he grooms. His favorite student, though, is his son, Carson, who has been studying Martial Arts with his dad since the age of four. When not at the studio, they love spending time with each other and their dog Shelby.
